Project Title : Youth in Garment, Textiles and Construction Management

As the world reset its economic development agenda in the 21 century, the call for practical skills and talent enhancement programs has been monumental.
This vocational skills development remains the bedrock on which national economic development can be achieved .The results of mass employment initiatives can only be attainable when the majority of global citizens are able to create their own craft and produce to feed themselves.
Canada’s abundant resources offer us the opportunities to roll out this program for the global community.
CORE MODULES
The modules to be rolled out in this Vocational Training Program are indicated below:
GARMENT AND TEXTILE EMPLOYMENT MODULE
OBJECTIVES
• The module is aimed at creating employment opportunities for young people in the garment and textile industry
• It will provide training and apprenticeship opportunities to thousands of young Canadians interested in becoming professional tailors and dressmakers
• The Garment and Textile industry plays a significant role in the economy of any country, contributing to export revenue, employment generation and culture preservation.
SCOPE
This module has been designed carefully to afford beneficiaries the opportunity to receive in-depth knowledge and hands –on –training in various aspects of;
• Tailoring and dressmaking ,including ,
• Fabric selection
• Cutting techniques
• Sewing
• Garment construction
• Pattern making and
• Alterations
TARGET
The programme also targets to directly engage already existing apparel start-ups to support in the implementation process to achieve the desired objectives and this will involve:
• On –the –job training in the various skill areas to be undertaken by selected Garment and Textile partner companies.
• Micro and small –scale seamstresses and tailors
• Industrial Garment companies will be engaged as trainers of the Beneficiaries in large scale garment manufacturing.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT MODULE (BUILDING)

SCOPE
Key activities will involve building training from foundation to finishing. These are the critical initiatives rolled out in the vocational training module phase one. Males and females between the ages of 15 -40 years are the target group.
ENROLMENT /FEES AND PROCEDURES
A minimum fee is paid for enrolment into the first phase of the program .The program duration is between 8 months -2years of apprenticeship at the maximum.
Our targeted initial enrolment is 2000 students into the various modules.

TARGET DESTINATIONS
All the Caribbean, North American, European and African countries are encouraged to participate in the modules as it is essentially a Black economic empowerment tool.
This practical skills development program is to empower the growing number of youth in Canada,
Africa and the Diaspora to be independent and self –reliant. It is a critical income generating project for communities and societies that critically need assistance.
PRODUCT MARKET
International product certification standards will be met to ensure that our products are competitive at local and international markets.
Our concentration will be more proudly African made products with high impact aesthetic impressions to enable us enjoy a distinctive market advantage internationally.
Africans in the Diaspora will be brought on board to enable them breath a sense of belonging and a spiritual historical bond.
We shall feature prominently in international tradeshows and exhibitions in order to connect to the world as part of our marketing strategy.
